The International Commission on Geoheritage at The IGC 2024
The IUGS international Commission on Geoheritage (UGS-ICG) will meet at the 37th International Geological Congress IGC 2024 in Busan. It will be a very important event for the visibility of our commission among the scientific community. We will chair and participate in 4 scientific sessions as well as in the IUGS Council meeting.
The Second 100 IUGS Geological Heritage Sites will be announcement, and our most important achievements from the last 4 years will be presented according to the following agenda:
- T27 – S1-S2. Presentation of the First 55 IUGS Heritage Stones and the First 11 IUGS Geo-collections.
- T27 – S3. Keynote at the Geosites and Georoutes in the History of Geological Sciences.
- T27 – S8. Announcement of The Second 100 IUGS Geological Heritage Sites special event.
- T27 – S9. Global Geoparks Network 20th anniversary event.
